Terms and privacy

What we do with the data you leave on this website and in the Rikna app, and the terms under which you use them.

In short

  • We don't sell data and we don't show ads.
  • The website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics.
  • From the form we only get what you type in, and we use it to reply to you.
  • You can delete your Rikna account and all its data whenever you like.

01 Who we are

The website and the Rikna app are made and maintained by Bookmark Studio, which operates within the publishing house Narator (Tax ID (PIB) 114007161, Reg. no. (MB) 67254066). We are the data controller under the Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Serbia.

02 Website and contact form

What we collect

When you send a message through the form, we receive your full name, email address, topic and message. If you tick "Email me when something new comes out", we also record that you agreed to it.

Why and for how long

  • We use the details from your message only to reply to you and continue the conversation. We keep them while the conversation or collaboration lasts, and then delete them.
  • If you agreed to receive news, we email you from time to time until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time with one email to info@bookmarkstudio.rs.

Cookies and technical data

The website sets no cookies and uses no visitor tracking tools. We load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your device's IP address when they load. The company that hosts the website on its servers records the usual technical data about visits, such as IP address and time of visit, for security and to keep the servers running.

03 The Rikna app

What we collect

  • Account data: your name or username and email address.
  • What you enter yourself: books on your shelves, reading days, goals, ratings, impressions and reviews, comments and likes, and any shelf you import from a CSV file.
  • The camera is used only when you start scanning a barcode on a book cover.

What others can see

Reviews, impressions and activity you post are visible to the people who follow you and to other users within the community. Don't put personal details in reviews that you don't want others to see.

Why and for how long

We use this data to make the app work: to keep your shelf, calendar and reviews, and to connect you with the people you follow. We keep it for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete its data too, except what the law requires us to keep.

Payments

Premium is paid through Google Play or the App Store. Payments are handled by those stores, and we never see or store your card details.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all its data by writing to info@bookmarkstudio.rs from your account's email address. We complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest.

04 Who we share data with

We don't sell data or give it to others for advertising. Only companies that provide us with technical services, such as hosting, email and the services the app and its database run on, have access to it, and only as far as needed for those services to work. Some of these companies may store data on servers outside Serbia, with the safeguards the law requires. We give data to public authorities only when the law obliges us to.

05 Your rights

At any time you can ask for:

  • access to the data we hold about you and a copy of it;
  • correction of inaccurate data;
  • deletion of your data;
  • restriction of processing, or transfer of your data to another service;
  • withdrawal of consent, for example for news emails.

Just write to info@bookmarkstudio.rs. We reply within 30 days at the latest. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can file a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia.

Rikna is not intended for children under 15.

06 Terms of use

  • The texts, design and logo on the website and in the app belong to Bookmark Studio and may not be used without permission.
  • You are responsible for the reviews, comments and other content you post in Rikna. Offensive or unlawful content, content that infringes someone else's copyright, and spam are not allowed.
  • We may remove content that breaks these rules and close accounts that break them repeatedly.
  • We do our best to keep the website and the app working without errors, but we can't guarantee they will always be available and uninterrupted.
  • These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia.

07 Changes

If we change these rules, we publish the new version on this page. We also let Rikna users know about major changes in the app or by email.
